Tree Removal

In order to comply with Alachua County Unified Land Development Code and the CobbleField Covenants & Restrictions, the following information must be provided on the Request for Exterior Change form when seeking approval for removing tree(s) on a homeowner’s property:

  • The species of each tree to be removed, for example, “red oak”, “live oak”, “laurel oak”, “water oak”, “sweet gum”, “loblolly pine”, etc.
  • The number and location of trees on the property to be removed (attach a drawing if needed)
  • The circumference (in inches) of each tree at 4½ feet above the ground, for each species of tree to be removed
  • The reason for tree(s) to be removed
  • When the tree being removed is a key feature of a planting bed, the area may not be left empty. The Request for Change form (below) must include plans for replacement tree(s)

An “on property” inspection of the tree(s) to be removed may be required prior to review and approval of the Request for Exterior Change. Please allow adequate time for the Architectural Control Committee to review the Request for Architectural Change form. The tree service company is required to remove all cut trees and debris. The County will not pick up this debris.

A Request for Change form is required: Deliver/Send the completed Adobe Acrobat Reader Request for Change  form – along with any required back-up materials – to the management company. This form must be submitted and approved before any work is started.  Failure to do so could be costly.
